In studying about the prayer life of Jesus, it re-energized my own prayer life. The great need my Lord exhibited for a need to pray--oh, how much more do I need to pray. This book was an inspiration for me and one I will read again.

Brenda Poinsett has written a book, masterfully teaching us more about prayer from the Master Himself. The author has divided the contexts of Jesus' prayers into four elements and then broken down these elements again to aid us in developing a deeper prayer life with God. Key phrase: If Christ had not felt the need to pray, He might seem to us, especially in the light of His sinlessness, an impressive and awesome figure, but He would not seem close to our lives. We need to pray, and we will learn more from Him when we acknowledge that He, too, needed to pray. (page 17)

I read this book, and finally understood the biological reasons and emotional reasons for my depression. If you are wondering, "why do I feel this way?" Read this book!! Have your mother, sister, or friend read this book. They will also understand why you're feeling the way you are.
